Who’s in The Bay cast? Morven Christie, Jonas Armstrong, Tracie Bennett, Lindsey Coulson and Chanel Cresswell star


THE Bay is a brand new six-part drama on ITV that is being shot around Morecambe and the Manchester area.

The drama follows Detective Sergeant Lisa Armstrong’s latest missing persons investigation.

Who is in The Bay cast?

The Bay promises to take viewers down a mysterious and thrilling path with its captivating plot.

While some made their name working on multiple famous series, there are some that are just at the beginning of their careers.

Here’s the lowdown on the cast with all the juicy details…

Morven Christie

The Scottish actress has starred in many high-profile series including The A Word, Grantchester, and The Replacement.

Morven, 36, was born in Dunbartonshire, but grew up in Glasgow and Aviemore.

As the star playing Detective Sergeant Lisa Armstrong in The Bay, she said Lisa was “a refreshingly real character”.

The story-line will see Lisa, a Family Liaison Officer, try to keep a professional distance from the missing person’s family.

However, when she realises her personal connection to the family, things start to get complicated.

Jonas Armstrong

The 38-year-old actor was born in Dublin, Ireland and has appeared in many prestigious series and movies.

Most viewers may recognise him from his role alongside Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in Edge of Tomorrow or as the lead in BBC One’s Robin Hood.

Tracie Bennett has appeared in numerous TV series and theatre productions

Tracie Bennett

Tracie has achieved many accolades in her acting career since her debut in 1981.

She conquered the world of television series through her roles in Coronation Street, Casualty and Doctors among many others.

The Lancashire actress also made a name for herself on the big screen after starring in Shirley Valentine.

The 57-year-old won two Olivier awards and numerous nominations for her theatrical performances in productions such as Hairspray, She Loves Me, and End of the Rainbow.

Lindsey previously appeared on EastEnders and Casualty

Lindsey Coulson

The London-born actress established her on screen career through her roles in EastEnders, Doctor Who, Casualty and Clocking Off.

Lindsey, 58, won the 2000 British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance for playing Carol Jackson in EastEnders.

Chanel Cresswell

Chanel Cresswell

Chanel is a BAFTA-award winning actress, best-known for role in This is England as Kelly Jenkins.

The 28-year-old star was born in Derbyshire and has also appeared in Casualty, Trollied, and The Aliens.

Louis Greatorex

Born in Derby, Louis is best known for his roles in The Last Post and Netflix’s Safe.

The actor, 21, was also in BBC One’s Last Tango in Halifax as the character Lawrence.

Adam Long

The 21-year-old star played a sub-lieutenant in the Oscar-winning Dunkirk.

He also appeared in Happy Valley, Home Fired and Bancroft among many other TV projects.

Taheen Modak

Taheen will be making his professional screen debut on ITV’s The Bay.

Following his training in Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, the actor has appeared in numerous theatre school plays and a couple of small-scale film productions.

Daniel Ryan

The actor is known for his work in Doctor Who, Casualty, Home Fires and Mount Pleasant.

Daniel, 50, also starred in movies like Black Sea and Lipstick on Your Collar.
