Who is Robert White?

Robert White, 41, is a stand-up from West Sussex.

On his website he describes himself as “the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit”.

He may sound like a niche act, but the musical comedian has managed to garner a wide appeal with his chaotic style and improvised musical skills.

At the Edinburgh Fringe he has gained rave reviews with The Scotsman describing him as a “brilliant, confusing and strange” talent.

And his one-liners aren’t bad either, with one effort earning him a top-10 place in 2010’s funniest jokes at the Fringe.

That year, he was also recognised at the Festival with the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comedy Originality.

In an exclusive, The Sun revealed that White served jail time after one of his pranks went wrong.

The comedian “got three months in Wandsworth prison” after dressing in a ball gown to surprise his ex-boyfriend at work, while brandishing a music stand.

Though he changed his mind about the joke and headed home, he walked out in front of a police car and was questioned.

White said: “In the police interview, I called it [the music stand] a gun because — for the joke — I was a comedy armed robber.”

Robert was initially set to be charged with armed robbery, but they reduced the charges to attempt to threaten with an imitation firearm.

When did Robert appear on Britain’s Got Talent and what happened with Big Narstie?

Robert came second in the Britain’s Got Talent grand final, missing out only to fellow comedian Lost Voice Guy (Lee Ridley) who took home the grand prize.

After his semi-final win Robert was shoved on Britain’s Got Talent by Grime star Big Narstie live on air.

He was seen pushing the comedian after he tried to dance with him.

However Big Narstie later apologised saying it was just his “natural reaction” to having his personal space invaded.
