Who is Polly Walker?

Polly Walker is a 52-year-old British actress who was born in Lancashire and raised as one of four siblings.

She began her career as a dancer and graduated from Twickenham’s Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

But the star was forced to switch paths after sustaining a leg injury at the age of 18.

Polly then trained at the London’ Drama Centre before moving on to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Her career has featured parts in Mr Selfridge, Age Before Beauty, The Syndicate and Prisoners Wives.

Polly also starred in 1992’s Patriot Game and 2010’s Clash of the Titans.

She even bagged a Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series – Drama for her part as Atia of the Julii in the HBO-BBC2 drama, Rome.

Polly plays Gill Biggeloe, the legal counsel to AC-12 in Line of Duty.

She initially appeared in season three and made a surprise return in series five.

In the season three finale Gill made it clear she was stemming the tide of police corruption convictions – but claimed it was for the public good.

She told Ted: “Anti-corruption is a double-edged sword. We need to find just enough bent coppers to avoid accusations of a cover up, but not so many that the public starts to wonder if the police can be trusted.”

Ted swiftly showed her the door, but this series she returned at the new Police and Crime Commissioner’s command.

Her behaviour and actions has fans convinced that she could be the mysterious character, H.

When is Line of Duty on BBC One?

The fifth season of Line Of Duty started on March 31, 2019.

It continues on Sunday night at 9pm on BBC One.

Filming for the series began in Belfast in September 2018.

After series four concluded, the BBC announced Line Of Duty had been renewed for two more series – so we’ll be getting a series six too.
