When Does Sanditon Start On Itv, Who’s In The Cast And What Is The Jane Austen Adaptation About?


Jane Austen’s unfinished and last novel Sanditon has just been commissioned into a lavish period epic.

It’s going to be a pretty big deal as it’s being written by Andrew Davis, the man behind Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch and War & Peace – here’s the what we know about it so far.

When will Sanditon be on ITV?

The announcement was only made yesterday so there’s no air date just yet.

However it has been confirmed that filming will begin next spring.

Head of ITV drama Polly Hill said: “It’s a rich, romantic, family saga built upon the foundations Jane Austen laid.

“There is no one better to adapt her unfinished novel than Andrew, who has an incredible track record for bold and original adaptations.”

Who is in the cast?

There hasn’t been any cast announcements yet.

However big-time stars like Colin Firth and Kevin Spacey have starred in Davis’ other epics like Pride and Prejudice, as well as House of Cards.

Davis’ works also often include a British-heavy cast.
