Where is Great Ormond Street Hospital?
GOSH is a hospital in North West London – close to Russell Square tube station in the borough of Camden – but more than half its patients come from outside the city.
It is the largest centre in the UK for treating kids with cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, cancer services, intensive care, nephrology and renal transplants – among other things.
GOSH was founded in 1852, with just 10 beds, and was the first dedicated children’s hospital in the UK.
Last year, doctors at the famous hospital were involved in the treatment of terminally ill toddler Charlie Gard.
