WEST HAM have handed evidence of alleged racist abuse aimed at Mo Salah to Metropolitan Police.
Video footage from the London Stadium from Monday night’s 1-1 draw between the Hammers and Liverpool showed fans screaming abuse at the Egyptian.
The individuals were not identified in the video footage though.
The club said in a statement: “After a thorough and immediate investigation following the abhorrent racist abuse aimed at Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah on Monday night, West Ham can confirm that it handed evidence over to the Metropolitan Police.
“The club is unequivocal in its stance – such abuse will not be tolerated.
“There is no place or excuse for this kind of behaviour.”
