Weight of Britain’s favourite chocolate Easter eggs is a THIRD plastic packaging

IF you are about to dash to the shops for some last-minute Easter eggs, my scientific probe may help you choose. For I can reveal that with some of Britain’s favourite choccy gifts, almost a THIRD of their weight is packaging.

In my lab I weighed seven of the top-selling eggs, with and without all the card and plastic, then calculated their chocolate-to-packaging ratio.

Check my results here to see how your egg did.
