WRAP up warm tonight – as Britain is expected to shiver in a big freeze when temperatures drop to -4C as Scandinavian winds bring an icy blast.
And clear skies overnight are expected to bring widespread frosts on Saturday morning.
Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge said that several areas will experience plunging temperatures overnight, with parts of Scotland, East Midlands and even north of London expected to dip to -4C.
With it remaining dry, due to mainly clear skies throughout Friday night, most of us will wake up to frosts on Saturday morning.
Tomorrow is a “pretty good day”, according to Simon, adding, “most of the UK is dry and fine, with plenty of sunny spells.”
He cautioned, however, that some places will be hit by hail in the afternoon, particularly parts of East Anglia, Kent and East Sussex.
Temperatures are expected to range from 12 to 13C on Saturday, although a wind chill on the east coast will make it feel much colder.
