TWO people have been killed when their Mini Cooper veered of a road and plunged into a river in Kent.
The incident took place at around 3.40am last night and involved a grey Mini Cooper which left the road before entering the water.
The crash took place near Dengemarsh Road in Lydd, KentThree people were freed from the vehicle by emergency services but two of them, a man and woman both in their 20s, later died of their injuries.
The third occupant had injuries which are not described as serious.
It is understood he has since been discharged from hospital.
A police spokesman said: “Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone who saw the Mini in the moments leading up to the incident, or who have dash cam footage from the area around the time, to contact them.”
The news comes after a man in his 40s on the Londonbound carriageway of the A2 near Darenth in Kent.
The man collided with a roadside barrier at approximately 8:45pm on Thursday.
He was pronounced dead by paramedics on the scene.
