Strictly Come Dancing is almost back on our screens and while fans eagerly await the highly anticipated 2020 show, there could be one more added surprise. This year the normal show format will undergo a variety of changes due to the coronavirus pandemic, and while Kevin Clifton and AJ Pritchard have stepped away from their roles on the BBC show, one familiar face might be coming back.
Kristina Rihanoff could be set to make a star-studded return in the wake of her two fellow pro’s departures.
She joined the cast of Strictly in series six, dancing with John Sergeant, and was an instant hit with fans.
And now, bookmaker Ladbrokes predict she could make a shock appearance this year, pricing her odds at 2/1 to make a comeback.
Ladbrokes’ spokesperson Alex Apati said: “Kristina says she left on great terms and it looks as though Strictly chiefs might just bring her back for a history-making series.”
Kristina’s reached the final in 2011, with Neighbours star Jason Donovan, after receiving numerous perfect 40 scores.

She almost tasted the Glitterball trophy once again in 2015, but she and singer Simon Webbe ended up taking home the runner-up title with their show stopping Argentine Tango.
Could this be the year she steals the title once and for all?
The blonde bombshell left the show in 2016 after feeling like “creativity was being taken out of her hands”.
She told Hello! At the time that although she is sad to be saying goodbye, it was a feeling of “relief” to move on and look ahead to the future.
“It’s a bittersweet situation,” she told the publication.
“I was on Strictly for eight years, and I always love the dancing side of it, but I feel relieved because I wasn’t happy towards the end.
“I’m also sad because I’m going to miss everyone. I will always be grateful for the fantastic opportunity that Strictly gave me to be part of such a brilliant show,” she added.
The 2020 professional dancer line-up was unveiled earlier this year, with Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Anton Du Beke, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Janette Manrara, Johannes Radebe, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones, and last year’s winner Oti Mabuse, all ready to return and meet their new celeb partners.
Graziano Di Prima and Nancy Xu will also be paired up this year on the main show – could Kristina join them?
The celebrity line-up is still yet to be released, as fans all over the nation gear up for who will be dancing their socks off to be in with a chance to walk away King or Queen of the ballroom.
There have been plenty of rumours flying about these past few months about who will be taking part, but one potential future contestant outlined some very strict rules before he takes the plunge.
