A TEEN has died after falling from the Whispering Gallery at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Emergency services rushed to the London landmark after reports the man had fallen yesterday afternoon.
Tragically, the young man died.
London City Police confirmed they had been called to the scene just before 4pm yesterday “to a report of a male in his late teens who had fallen from the gallery within the building.”
They said: “The Helicopter Emergency Medical Service and police officers attended.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious.”
The tragedy saw Evensong cancelled, with the Cathedral closed for the rest of the day.
On Twitter, the church said: “We are sorry to announce that we are closing the Cathedral for the rest of the day and Evensong will not take place this evening.
“Morning services will take place tomorrow (Monday) with Morning Prayer at 7.30am and Eucharist at 8am. The Cathedral will reopen for sightseeing at 10am.”
