OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has hinted at a summer spending spree after last night’s Champions League defeat to PSG.
The Man Utd boss is in control until the end of the season and has made a good start to life in the Old Trafford dugout.
However, Solskjaer’s unbeaten run stretching from December was ended at Old Trafford on Tuesday with a 2-0 defeat to French giants PSG.
United’s players looked short on ideas as they struggled to cope with the Ligue 1 side, who were missing star men Edinson Cavani and Neymar.
And many believe the defeat has brought to light the lack of quality running through the squad.
Solskjaer is yet to be given any guarantees that he will be in charge next season.

But the Norwegian claims both he and the club are looking to “strengthen” as soon as possible.
Solskjaer said: “[The defeat] is a reality check. You can see the strength they have when they put those players in, but that’s the level we want to get to.
“We are looking to strengthen the squad. And then again we have so many young players to take a step up for next season.”
United have been linked with a number of players, and could shore up the defence with a move for Ajax axe Matthjis de Ligt.
There is believed to be interest in Benfica’s £50million-rated midfielder Joao Felix.
While Adrien Rabiot is apparently being eyed as he prepares to quit PSG on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, reports claim United have been monitoring ex-Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho, who is struggling for games at Barcelona.
And there could even be a move for Paulo Dybala, who has been tipped to leave Juventus in the summer.
