VIEWERS were left in stitches earlier today as they watched Jeremy Vine get egged live on TV.
The 53-year-old was chatting to a caller when co-host Storm Huntley crept up behind him and smashed the raw egg over his head.
The hilarious segment on Jeremy’s Channel 5 weekday show sees the TV presenter deep in conversation with a caller, chatting around the topic of punishment for egging.
The camera cuts to his co-host Storm, 31, who is seen sneakily holding an egg before creeping up behind Jeremy.
Storm cracks the egg hard on his head and its raw contents drip down his face – as the studio erupts into laughter.
However, the presenter took it all in his stride and remained professional as he attempted to carry on chatting to the caller – despite a face full of raw egg.
In September 2018, Jeremy took over from Matthew Wright as the new host of the Channel 5 show The Wright Stuff.
The show was renamed for the first time in 18 years and is now known simply as ‘Jeremy Vine’.
Jeremy also took over the presenting role for quiz show, Eggheads, in 2008.
He also appeared in the 13th series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2015.
