SADIO MANE and Naby Keita have linked up to tell Timo Werner he should join them at Liverpool next season.
RB Leipzig star Werner is one of the most highly sought after front players in Europe after and could decide to quit the Bundesliga club this summer.
The 22-year-old has just one more year left on his contract and Leipzig are unwilling to let him run his deal down and leave on a free transfer.
Bayern Munich have already shown strong interest in the German international – but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan and is looking at snapping him up.
And now Klopp’s players Keita and Mane have gone into bat for Liverpool in an attempt to lure Werner to Anfield.
Speaking to Bild, former Leipzig star Keita said: “We played really well together at Leipzig, and he was one of my best mates.
“It’s clear – should he move, then I ask Timo to join us here at Liverpool.”
Mane added: “I’d advise him to join Liverpool.
“I like his style of play. Very forceful, good finish, always giving it 100 percent. If he wants to join us, we’d welcome him to our team.
“When it was clear that Naby would join us, I often watched Leipzig matches.

“But to be honest, it was dreadful for me at the start. Naby saw quite a few red cards. I then asked Kevin Kampl, my friend from our time at RB Salzburg, why Naby always got sent off.
“He didn’t know. Naby missed some important games and I could watch other players more closely. And Timo stood out.”
Klopp is likely to be given a big budget to add more players to his squad this summer as the Reds look to challenge for major honours domestically and in Europe.
