BROADCASTER the Reverend Ruth Scott has revealed she has just a few weeks to live.
Ruth, 60, best known for presenting Pause for Thought on Radio 2, has been having treatment for cancer for two years.
But she said she is getting “rid of all the medical stuff” in the hope of a natural death surrounded by her family.
Ruth told Chris Evans on his Virgin Radio breakfast show: “I’ve got to accept the fact that I’m dying.
“I’m not frightened. I’ve had the most fantastic life. I just wish that it had been longer.”
The mother of two, who has lymphoma, added: “It feels very weird at one level, but it also feels very natural at another level.
“I want to die as naturally as possible.”
The second part of Ruth’s interview will be aired on Chris’s breakfast show on Wednesday.
