Today will see Sony announce what new PS Now games will be added to the streaming service this month.
This news will be revealed alongside the launch of this month’s PS Plus free games, which includes NBA 2K20, Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration and Erica.
These titles will be made available to download later today, which is usually when we find out what new PS4 games are coming to PlayStation Now.
There has been no news on what these new titles might be, but they usually include a total of three games.
Last month saw Metro Exodus, Dishonored 2, NASCAR Heat 4 added to the PS Now collection, which now numbers hundreds of titles.
The only downside is that while Sony will be adding new games into the mix, they will also be removing some to make way.
This includes Marvel’s Spider-Man, which will no longer be available to play after today’s PlayStation Store update.
As revealed by Sony earlier this year, some games added to PS Now will only be available for a limited time.
This can include PS4 first-party titles, which are also limited to being downloadable on PlayStation consoles.
A message from Sony explains: “Each month, the service will add a selection of popular games that will be available for a limited period. This is on top of the existing offering of popular evergreen titles that are added to PS Now on a regular basis.
“PlayStation Now enables you to stream more than 700** PS4, PS3 and PS2 games on your PS4 and PC, and download 300 PS4 games to play on your PS4.
“Downloaded and recently streamed games will sit in your PS4 library alongside any other games you’ve purchased from PS Store, or any recently played disc-based games on the homescreen.
“It’s easy to switch between streamed or downloaded games. PS4 offers both download and streaming support. On PC, only streamed games are supported.”
The first party exclusive game being removed on July 7 includes Marvel’s Spider-Man:
Explore a new chapter in Marvel’s Spider-Man universe as a more experienced Peter Parker. Starring one of the world’s most iconic Super Heroes, Marvel’s Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing by parkour and unique environmental interactions to new combat and blockbuster action, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before.
The PS Plus free games going live later today, July 7, include the following:
NBA 2K has evolved into much more than a basketball simulation. With its immersive open-world Neighborhood, NBA 2K20 is a platform for gamers and ballers to come together and create what’s next in basketball culture.
Take your skills to the next level, featuring an upgraded motion engine with signature styles, advanced shooting controls, a new dribble size-up system, refined off-ball collisions, and a new read & react defensive game.
