Royal correspondent Russell Myers revealed to Andi Peters the “real story” behind Prince Charles’ joyful 70th birthday photo on Lorraine. The iconic image shows the Royal Family laughing and smiling with Charles surrounded by his close family. However, Russell explained the claims in Finding Freedom suggest the photo is not as it seems.
The birthday celebratory image includes the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children alongside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Russell commented: “In the book it says, Charles and his relationship with the boys, William and Harry, was very hot and cold.
“The boys weren’t making the effort that Charles wanted them to, to cooperate with the picture.
“It actually turned into a nightmare scenario and I think you know, no one comes off well in this book.
