    After much discussion concerning ‘air bridges’ between the UK and other ‘safe’ countries, this proposal is understood to have been scrapped.

    Instead, the government is replacing it with quarantine exemptions.

    As many as 75 countries will be on the first list, reported The Times.

    Countries given the green light will likely be nearly all EU destinations, British territories including Bermuda and Gibraltar, and Turkey, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.

    Moreover, travel money providers are now back in service for those looking to purchase holiday currency.
