A PEAKY Blinders-themed diner has been hit with a legal notice by the show’s makers.
The Manchester venue has staff in flat caps as gangsters, 1920s decor and themed cocktails.

Telly production bosses say it can’t use the brand.
Owners of the diner, Peaky Blinders Manchester, deny trying to portray it as being affiliated with the show.
Both sides are discussing changes.
A fifth series of the BBC1 drama, set in post-WW1 Birmingham and starring Cillian Murphy, is due later this year.

Peaky Blinders was named after a gang that ruled the streets of Birmingham in the years after the First World War.
The bar has been transformed into a 1920s-style bar, complete with chandeliers, gold ceilings, Chesterfield armchairs and a themed cocktail menu.
Bartenders are dressed like Peaky Blinders characters, with a smart uniform of flat caps, braces and shirt sleeve holders and the venue displays huge murals depicting scenes from the show.
The city centre venue opened its doors to the public in December.
But those behind the cult drama, Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions, were quick to step in when they heard about the bar opening.

They said: “The bar has no authorisation to use the Peaky Blinders television brand, and in line with our strategy to manage such infringements, the owners have been contacted with a legal notice to cease and desist.
“We work hard to protect the quality and authenticity of the Peaky Blinders brand and work only with approved partners to ensure that the show’s dedicated fanbase receive quality experiences and products befitting the high standards of the show.”
In a statement, the bar’s owners said: “We are a fan-based theme bar from the 1920s era. We base ourselves on the Peaky Blinders tradition of community spirit and togetherness with a feel good factor. We are trying to create that image and that image only.”
