THERESA May faces a fresh outcry after claims she told Ministers she couldn’t alter her Brexit plan – as she’d “cleared it” with Angela Merkel.

Reports claim stunned Cabinet Ministers were given the extraordinary excuse at the crunch Chequers summit last Friday.

A No.10 source last night vehemently denied the claims – in the Spectator – which came on the eve of the publication of the PM’s Brexit ‘White Paper’ on Thursday.

Last week furious allies of ex-Brexit Secretary David Davis accused the PM of briefing the German Chancellor about her soft Brexit proposals in Berlin – before the papers were circulated to the Cabinet.
