Nintendo Switch fans can check out Pokemon Let’s Go for free.
Nintendo has released a free demo for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachi and Let’s Go Pikachu.
Available from the Nintendo Switch eShop, the free demo gives players a chance to sample the new capture and battle mechanics.
Players can guide Pikachu or Eevee through the Viridian Forest, where they will encounter rival Trainers and wild Pokemon.
“If you haven’t started any adventures in these games yet, now you can find out what all the excitement is about,” reads a Nintendo post.
“The free demo will let you explore Viridian Forest to catch wild Pokémon and battle Trainers with a randomly selected partner—either Pikachu or Eevee.”
The only downside is that content can’t be transferred to the full game.
This is because the Pokemon Let’s Go demo is a slightly different game to the retail release.
“The content is slightly different from that of the full games, but you will be able to see just how much fun exploring Kanto can be on Nintendo Switch!” Nintendo continues.
“Game data from the demo cannot be transferred to the full game.”
You can check it out for yourself by visiting the Pokemon Let’s Go website.
The news comes ahead of tonight’s Nintendo Direct event, which should shed some light on new Switch games.
According to the rumours, the Metroid Prime Trilogy will be announced for Switch during the imminent event.
Super Mario Maker 2 is also tipped for the Nintendo Switch, so it’s possible we’ll see that.
Other contenders include the Pokemon RPG, a new 2D Zelda game and Pikmin 3.
