NEYMAR bitterly regrets leaving Barcelona, according to his former Nou Camp team-mate Adriano.
Brazil superstar Neymar has been linked with both Barca and Real Madrid amid rumours he has never settled since his £198million world-record switch to PSG in August 2017.
And Besitkas striker Adriano is convinced his fellow countryman rues his Nou Camp exit more than any other player has.
Adriano, 34, said: “I spoke with Neymar about three weeks ago, all of us who have been in Barcelona and left repented and he believes that even more.”
Neymar has hit 48 goals in 53 games for PSG, winning the domestic quadruple in his first season.
But the Ligue 1 winners have struggled to match Europe’s traditional rivals in the Champions League.
They also crashed out to Manchester United in the last 16 this season on away goals, despite winning the first leg at Old Trafford 2-0.
Neymar vented his fury and frustration afterwards on social media, albeit mostly complaining about Marcus Rashford’s controversial clincher from the penalty spot in stoppage-time.
And speculation over his future peaked in January with reports he called Barcelona and “begged them” to buy him back.
Neymar, 27, will surely be celebrating another Ligue 1 title as PSG sit 20 points clear.
But apart from having an eight-point advantage at the top of La Liga, Barcelona also have a Champions League quarter-final with Manchester United to look forward to.
And that’s exactly the type of regular prestige clash that Neymar might be missing.
