NEWCASTLE have been criticised by Kick It Out for failing to explain why Peter Beardsley left the club.
The Toon confirmed the departure of their former Under-23s coach on Wednesday after a 14-month investigation into racism and bullying allegations.
But the club announced Beardsley’s exit without disclosing the findings of their probe, leaving the young players who made the claims against him unhappy.
As revealed by SunSport, the FA are monitoring the Beardsley situation and have warned Newcastle the allegations must not be swept under the carpet.
And anti-racism campaign group Kick It Out have now also piled the pressure on the Toon.
In a statement, the organisation said: “Kick It Out is concerned that Newcastle United have failed to outline the reasons for Peter Beardsley’s departure.

“If it is as a result of the allegations made against him, we would encourage the club to be transparent in its decision.
“We are continuing to ascertain what The FA’s investigation includes and would welcome a swift and informative outcome for all involved.”
