This summer is set to be another sizzler full of fun, laughter and great weather.

But it’s important to follow the latest government guidelines to ensure you enjoy the summer safely with your friends and families as we adapt to the new-normal the coronavirus has left us with.

The official rules are different depending on which country you live in, be it England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

So to clear things up, we’ve listed them below to save you having to search. They all apply to picnics or get-togethers in gardens at a safe distance. And remember, the social distancing rules are also different depending on where you are too.

Now all you have to worry about is making sure you’ve ordered in enough grub!

England

Six people from different households, OR two households (your support bubble counts as one), are allowed to get together. In England, social distancing is one metre plus.

Scotland

Eight people from two households can gather to enjoy a summer party in Scotland – no more than that. In Scotland, social distancing is two metres.

Wales

People from two households can come together in Wales this summer but that’s the limit. In Wales, social distancing is also two metres.

Northern Ireland

The rules are a bit different in Norther Ireland. You are allowed up to 30 people at a single gathering. And when it comes to social distancing, it’;s the same as England – one metre plus.
