NEW Netflix film The Silence has viewers so scared they daren’t make a sound.
Ahead of it’s release, it was thought that the horror film would terrify viewers with scenes of supernatural hauntings in a post-apocalyptic world.
And it seems that many people have been affected by the plot, which sees the characters on the run from creatures that hunt their prey by sound.
“Netflix made its own ver of the quiet place called the silence… truly terrifying too i know im not going to survive any apocalypse,” commented one fan.
Another said: “Streaming the silence bro I’m scared”
Some viewers even went as far as to admit that they were left so scared by the film that they were too scared to cough, sleep or make noise.
One revealed: “I cant sleep. My feet dangle off my bed cuz I’m too tall. Also scared those T posing bat things from The Silence will eat my toes.”
While another said: “Im watching The silence and all of a sudden im scared of making noise”
A third joked: “I’m watching a movie called “The Silence” and my dumb ass scared to cough. I had to realize I’m watching the movie not in it!”
And a fourth Netflix subscriber, that hadn’t even watched it, admitted: “I wanna watch The Silence on Netflix but I’m scared Lord why you made me so scary.”

In the film, Lovely Bones actor Stanley Tucci stars as a father who leads his family to a remote haven to seek refuge, however they soon ‘discover a sinister cult who threaten who are eager to exploit his 16-year-old daughter’s heightened senses.
Speaking of his new role, Tucci admitted the thriller is new territory for him.
He told IGN: “I’ve done sci-fi movies like Transformers, but I’ve never done anything quite like this.”
The Silence is based on a Tim Lebbon book from 2015 and has drawn similarities to hit horror flick A Quiet Place, as both films feature a deaf child and are set in worlds where creatures hunt prey by sound.

However, The Silence was given the green light before A Quiet Place was released.
The author admitted that the comparisons are “a little troubling”.
He said: “There are similarities, of course, but I’m confident that the movie of The Silence will stand on its own. It’s going to be epic!”
