Moment man leaps out of van and smashes woman driver’s windscreen with a crowbar on roundabout in shocking road rage attack

THIS is the terrifying moment a man got out of a van and unleashed a violent attack on a woman’s car, smashing her windscreen with a crowbar.

The shocking footage was captured by the woman’s dashcam on a ring road in Leeds on March 23 last year as she approached a roundabout.

The man smashes the crowbar into the windscreen

In the clip the van can be seen pulling up in front of the woman’s car in the middle lane.

A man then gets out from the passenger side, runs over to the woman’s car and starts smashing up the windscreen with the crowbar.

After the attack he tries to get back into the white van but the driver quickly speeds off and the man has to make his way to the side of the road.

The female driver then also drives around the roundabout and then pulls up in front of the van at a petrol station.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I was very shaken up by the whole affair.

“I had to stop at a petrol station for about half an hour to calm down. I really was shaking.”

The shocking attack was filmed on a Nextbase Dash Cam.

Richard Browning, director at Nextbase, said: “This is a really shocking piece of footage. Unfortunately we do see that female drivers, along with young and first time drivers, are often the victims of road rage incidents.

“I can’t stress enough how important a Dash Cam can be for people in these scenarios.”
