MODERN men are more sentimental than their female counterparts, new research reveals.
A nationwide survey of British couples shows 77 per cent of both sexes believe men are the softer sex, wanting more romance and public snogging that women.
The research of 1,500 couples, conducted by Deliveroo, found that 69 per cent of guys admit openly showing their feelings.
Females respondents support the facts with almost a third claiming their other half to be a ‘true romantic’.
In fact, 15 per cent of the blokes said they even love snuggling up with a romantic comedy, but would never admit it to their pals.
The survey also found that 30 per cent of men believe that it is still hard for guys to show their emotions, while almost a fifth (17 per cent) confessed crying in secret.
According to the research, men are more likely to want to celebrate Valentine’s Day, with 60 per cent having never forgotten to get a card for their lover.
