MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have split from the charity they shared with Kate Middleton and Prince William to “allow them more time to be like a family”, a royal source has claimed.
Last month, it was confirmed that the Royal Foundation would be divided between the Sussexes and Cambridges as the couples have chosen to focus on their own separate charitable endeavours.
Although news of the split fuelled rumours of a “rift” between the two households, a royal insider has told People magazine that it was instead meant to help reconnect the couples.
The source said that no longer working together in an official capacity would “[allow] them more time to be like a family” instead of treating one another as colleagues.
At their first – and only – Royal Foundation forum in February 2018, host Tina Daheley asked the couples if they’ve ever had disagreements to which William replied: “Oh yes.”
What’s more, the insider also said “there is a sense of Meghan and Kate‘s relationship strengthening” after the sisters-in-law attended the Wimbledon Women’s Singles final together earlier this month.

Last year, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan Markle had “left Kate Middleton in tears” over her strict demands for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress ahead of the Royal Wedding.
Meanwhile, royal expert Katie Nicholl claims that Prince William’s concerns over his brother’s relationship with Meghan “went down quite badly” with Prince Harry.
Commenting on the rumoured “rift” between the two brothers, the insider added: “They all know what’s at stake, and William and Harry know that their grandmother in particular needs them to be on the same page.”
The insider also claims that the royal couples want their children to have a “incredibly robust friendship” like Harry and William did with their cousins when they were growing up.”
Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter said: “The royal cousins are the only other people on the plant other people on the planet who understand this life. We’ll see that relationship and shared camaraderie as they get older.”
Buckingham Palace refused to comment when approached by Fabulous Digital.
