MARCUS RASHFORD is in contention to return for Manchester United’s Champions League showdown with Barcelona.
Alexis Sanchez has returned to training, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed he will not be showing off his new moustache at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Rashford missed the 2-1 defeat to Wolves with an ankle injury and he was spotted training away from his team-mates on Tuesday.
Speaking about the striker’s fitness ahead of the match, Solskjaer said: “He needed an extra warm-up and hopefully he won’t get a reaction.
“He joined parts of it at the end, but he couldn’t join in the boxes, which is the fun part of training. Let’s see tomorrow. Hopefully he’ll be ready.”
If he starts, Solskjaer could deploy him as a front three alongside Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku.
Should the England international start on the bench, Lingard could maintain his spot in United’s starting XI.
‘HE’LL STEP UP’
Sanchez, who has scored just two goals for United this season, has missed the past five matches with a knee injury.
Solskjaer said: “Today was his first training session today with the team. He has done lots of work and is now injury free. Now he’ll step up and train with the team.
“He will probably be in the squad for the West Ham game on Saturday and let’s see how much, and if he plays. But he’s not going to be able to join in tomorrow.”

The Norwegian boss revealed Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are doubts, but Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly are out of action.
Solskjaer added: “We still hope maybe Nemanja can be ready, but Ander is a doubt. Antonio [Valencia] and Eric [Bailly] are definitely out.”
He is expected to start Luke Shaw and Ashley Young as they ruled out of Saturday’s match against West Ham with suspensions.
