Look like you’re back on holiday, thanks to the metallic hue of the moment – bronze

A HAZE of metallic  hues on your cheeks, eyes and even lips will have you feeling like a bronze goddess this summer.

Find out how to rock this season’s hottest make-up trend with products that will make you look like you’ve just come back from a Caribbean holiday.

Dare to be cheeky

A deep bronze blush will transform your face. Make sure skin is mega moisturised, before applying a dewy foundation, such as Mac Studio Face And Body Foundation, £26. Warm it between your fingers before swiping over your face.

Next, use a foundation brush to apply Revolution Liquid Highlighter in Euphoric Gold, £6, to the high points of your face – upper cheekbones, bridge of your nose, brow bones and Cupid’s bow – to create a glow.

Use a large bronzing brush, such as Bare Minerals Supreme Finish Brush, £25, to apply bronzer to your temples, cheekbones and across the nose for a sun-kissed look.

We love Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £26, as it comes in shades to suit any skin tone. To finish, dust By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder, £42, on to any areas that risk looking sweaty.

Give it some lip

Look like a true bronze goddess by applying metallic hues to your lips[/caption]

If you thought bronze was just for your contouring kit, it’s time to think again. The reflective metallic is perfect for giving your smackers a high-impact, sultry pout. To start, use a lip primer, such as Nude By Nature Perfecting Lip Primer, £18, which will give your lippy something to cling on to, even in sweat-inducing summer heat.

Then line your lips and fill them in with a brown-nude lipliner, such as IT Cosmetics Your Lips But Better Lip Liner Stain in Buff Nude, £17, which contains hyaluronic acid and avocado oil to keep them hydrated.

To finish, pack on INC.redible Foiling Around Metallic Lip Paint in We Feel Ya, £8 (4), or if you’re after a subtler finish, try Kevyn Aucoin The Molten Lip Colour in Copper, £24. Fancy some added drama? Pat Lime Crime Diamond Crushers Lip Topper in Cleopatra, £18, on the centre of lips to add the illusion of fullness.

Look sharp

Jonas O'Sullivan

Creating a shimmery, smokey eye look is easier than you think[/caption]

It’s easier to create this smoky, bronzed shimmer than it looks, so get creative this summer. Take a fluffy shadow brush, such as Zoeva 233 Cream Shader Brush, £10, and buff a creamy colour – we love Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Vanilla Nut, £19.50 – across your lids and up to the brow bone.

This will give a smooth base to ensure that the look stays put. Then use your ring finger to blend Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Single Eyeshadow in On And On Bronze, £5.99, across your lids.

To add definition, draw Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Golden Quartz, £19, into the crease, blending with an eyeshadow brush

. Finally, a dot of highlighter on the inner eye corners will make them pop. We love Milani Strobelight Liquid Highlighter in 24K Gold, £14.
