Liverpool have well and truly knocked Manchester United off their perch as the most attractive team to sign for in the Premier League after they became champions of England. That’s the opinion of Dietmar Hamann, who believes United have continued on a downward spiral after Sir Alex Ferguson left the club.
Liverpool are champions of England again for the first time in 30 years.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges stormed away with the Premier League title, losing just once this season so far.
The Reds are now champions of England, Europe and the world, having won the Champions League and Club World Cup.
On the flip side, United are still recovering from a series of poor decisions in the aftermath of Ferguson leaving the club.

The Red Devils are battling to qualify for European football, and are 37 points behind the newly-crowned champions.
And Hamann believes Liverpool have become the new dominant force in England, and are five years ahead of United.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the ex-German international claimed he believes Klopp will want to win the Champions League and win Liverpool another league title before he leaves the Merseyside club.
Hamann said: “When I was a player, the club everyone wanted to join was Manchester United.
