KIM Kardashian has slammed fast fashion companies after Fashion Nova posted photos of a near exact replica of the 1998 Thierry Mugler dress she wore on Sunday.
The 38-year-old reality star has now allegedly filed a law suit against Missguided USA, and is seeking “damages in excess of $10 million (£7million)”, according to TMZ.

The news site claimed Kim has filed a document of “multiple instances where Missguided posted its own versions of outfits Kim was photographed wearing”.
Kim is said to have included side by side shots comparing her Instagram photos to the company’s shots, showing how they have been copied.
TMZ reported: “Missguided often tags her on their social media posts — and includes photos of her — giving people the wrong idea that she’s working with the co.
“She’s asking a judge for an injunction to immediately stop Missguided from using her image … and she wants damages in excess of $10 million.”

On Tuesday, Kim posted a series of posts on Instagram, after discovering Fashion Nova had advertised a copy of the daring 1998 Thierry Mugler vintage gown she wore on Sunday.
Fashion Nova didn’t use Kim’s picture to sell their clothes, however.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star wrote: “It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas.

“I’ve watched these companies profit off my husband’s work for years and now that it’s also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent.
“Only two days ago, I was privileged enough to wear a one-of-a-kind vintage Mugler dress and in less than 24 hours it was knocked off and thrown up on a site – but it’s not for sale.
“You have to sign up for a waitlist because the dress hasn’t even been made to sell yet.”

Kim said that some companies mislead fans into thinking there is a relationship between her and the fashions making copies.
She added: “There is not. My relationships with designers are very important to me.
“It’s taken me over a decade to build them and I have a huge amount of respect for the amount of work that they put into bringing their ideas to life.
“I often plan for weeks, sometimes months, and even a year in advance, and I’m grateful for every fashion moment those designers and their dresses have helped me create.’
“I’m not leaking my looks to anyone, and I don’t support what these companies are doing.”
Missguided has been contacted for comment.
