N’GOLO KANTE clearly can’t wait to get France’s Euro 2020 qualifying campaign underway – turning up over FIVE hours early for today’s meet-up.
Les Bleus chief Didier Deschamps had asked his World Cup winners to arrive at the national Clairefontaine base at 1pm today for their latest adventure.
But keen Kante, 27, rocked up 6.30am, according to L’Equipe – long before his team-mates had even crawled out of bed.
The Chelsea star famously turned up 42 minutes late for France training in November and was clearly hoping to avoid another ticking off.
That day, Kante blamed a train delay, with Deschamps hilariously telling him: “But N’Golo, you are faster than the train.”
While Kante was left twiddling his thumbs outside the incredible Clairfontaine facility, the rest of the France squad clearly caught up on their sleep.
Stars including Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann all wore ear-to-ear grins as they arrived for international duty.
France kick-off their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a trip to Moldova on Friday March 22 – before hosting Iceland the following Monday.
And one star also keen to make a good impression is Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.
The former Juventus forward had been frozen out of the France set-up under Deschamps, having last been selected in November 2017.

France are hoping to recreate their heroics of two decades ago, when Les Bleus followed-up their World Cup triumph on home soil in 1998 by clinching the Euro 2000 crown too.
