JUVENTUS have sent scouts to Ajax to watch youngster Matthijs De Ligt during his side’s clash with Real Madrid.
According to reports in Italy, Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici went to Amsterdam to watch the clash last night.
Manchester United are also thought to be interested in the 19-year-old defender, who is being tipped for a bright future.
Ajax have already agreed a deal to sell young midfield prodigy Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona for £65million at the end of the season.
But they will be hard pushed to sell their other young starlet and Juventus would need to make a hard sell to director of football Marc Overmars.
Juventus are in need of long-term replacements for ageing centre-back mainstays Leonardo Bonucci, Giorginio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli.

And according to Calcio Mercato, Juventus have raised cash from selling bonds and Barcelona, despite being interested, do not want to deal with De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola.
United are also in need of a defensive overhaul, having tied Phil Jones down to a new contract this term.
But the club are determined to appoint a new director of football before the summer.
