JAMES Argent has joined a boxing gym and vowed to lose weight after stark warning that he’s put himself on “death row” by piling on the pounds.
The 31-year-old Towie star has dedicated himself to a healthy lifestyle after he was slammed by a weight loss expert.
Weight loss professional Steven Miller, who owns hypnosis programme Fatnosis, predicted that he could have ballooned to 18 stone, and may now have a 40 inch waist.
“I really am concerned about Arg,” Steven told Best magazine.
“Being so fat can often mean you are on death row.
“I want him to realise he might soon suffer a heart attack, stroke and even cancer due to his size.”
“Thanks to my old friends @mranthonyyarde @tundeajayi9 today my life changes & I’m back in the boxing gym!
“@peacockboxingclub is my new home! #healthylifestyle #hardwork #dedication.”
Earlier today, James begged a relentless troll to leave him alone after she “constantly attacks” his weight in cruel social media posts.
He took to his Twitter to share a picture of the woman he believed was bullying him over his recent weight gain.
James – known as Arg to Towie fans – has made no secret of his battle with his weight over the years.
In February, he told The Sun’s Bizarre column he is “desperate” to lose the pounds after being inspired by his girlfriend, Gemma Collins.
In an exclusive interview he said: “In regards to my body – I need to work on that. I need to get back in the gym and boxing again.
“I’m desperate to get back on track. I need to work on my fitness that is my number one New Year’s resolution – but I find it so difficult.
“I struggle to get into a routine and structure with my job I’m here, there and everywhere.
“I’m not going to put a goal or aim on it because I can’t put any pressure on myself.

“All I want to do is get back into my boxing, set my band up and secure a show on TV with myself and Gemma.”
In 2015 James admitted he felt “too fat to be loved” but now he wants to get back to his best ahead of his return to TV and the launch of a brand new reality series with Gemma.
As well as working on his fitness, James revealed on Monday he has been teetotal for eight months after ditching booze.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, he turned down the chance to try a Marks and Spencer Mojito in a can, saying: “Do you know what, I’m going to say no. I’m eight months clean and sober.”
