The convicted celebrity was jailed for three to 10 years after being found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home in 2004. Cosby, 81, is serving time in SCI Phoenix prison outside Philadelphia. The sexual predator was known as “America’s Dad” after starring as the family head in hit US TV series The Cosby Show.
He was found guilty in April, 2018 and although he could die behind bars Cosby has praised the penal experience.
Cosby’s spokesman Andrew Wyatt said: “Yeah, he used the term amazing experience.
“Right now I’m his only visitor outside of his attorneys, and that’s the way he wants it.”
Cosby was moved into the prison’s general population two weeks ago and is now in a single cell without a cellmate.
His wife Camille has not visited him so far.
The prison is around 45 minutes drive away from Cosby’s home, with the couple speaking on the phone three times a week for three minutes each time.
Mr Wyatt added: “She has not visited him. He does not want her to visit him.”
Cosby has also lost weight since being jailed and wakes at 3.30am each morning to exercise.
The celebrity lag is avoiding bread or dessert while behind bars.
Wyatt added: ”And he hasn’t drank any coffee since he’s been in there.
“Now the funny part about it (is) Mrs. Cosby’s been trying to stop him from drinking coffee for 55 years and it took this to stop him from drinking coffee.
“He’s mentally strong. He’s just a strong man.”
Last April, Cosby yelled out “axxhole” at the judge after being found guilty of attacking his victim.
District Attorney Kevin Steele had said Cosby’s bail should be revoked after claiming he could fly off “to anyplace in the world.”
He was jailed in September after being put under house arrest.
Judge Steven O’Neill said: “This was a serious crime. Mr Cosbu, this has all circled bcak to you.
“The day has come, the time has come.”
