An Indonesian woman accused of assassinating the North Korean leader’s half-brother was to be freed on Monday after a prosecutor withdrew a murder charge against her, a judge said.
“Siti Aisyah is freed,” judge Azmin Ariffin told the Shah Alam High Court in Malaysia, as he approved a request from the prosecutor to drop the charge against her of murdering Kim Jong-nam. He granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal.
“She can leave now.”
