HUDDERSFIELD star Philip Billing has revealed he has been the target of sick racist abuse from one of his team’s own fans.
Billing was left stunned when he received a horrific private message on his Instagram account from a troll claiming to be a Huddersfield fan.
The account mazza-pazza – which has a bio claiming to support the Yorkshire club – sent a message calling Billing a “black donkey”.
But the 22-year-old midfielder has exposed the keyboard warrior by taking a screenshot of the abuse and positing it on his social media pages with a simple thumbs-down emoji.
The message which dropped into Billings’ DM’s said: “Leave our f****** club, I never want to see you in a Town kit ever again you useless wanna be black donkey.”
It is believed the player is now preparing to lodge an official complaint to the social media company over the sick abuse.
Billing has been at Huddersfield since he joined them as a 16-year-old having been highlighted as a young player with a big future by the club’s scouts.
The midfielder came through the Terriers’ academy and has gone on to establish himself as a regular performer in the Premier League.
And this month his progress has been rewarded with his first senior call up to the Denmark squad for the Euro 2020 qualifier against Switzerland later this month.
