He said: “Holly is poorly today, if you’ve been watching through the week you’d know she’s been on a sort of downward spiral.

“Started on Dancing On Ice and she wasn’t really brilliant on Sunday and it’s kind of gone worse and worse and worse.

Adding: “Finally, she’s fallen over. She’s staying home today. Get well soon. She’s not going to be watching but get well soon.”

Rochelle, who filled in for Holly on This Morning when she was hosting I’m A Celebrity with Declan Donnelly, also sent her well wishes to Holly.

Rochelle’s appearance on the morning stalwart comes after Holly and Phillip caused havoc as they cooked on This Morning earlier this week, after Gino D’Acampo called in sick.

Phil took the reins at the hob and Holly popped open a bottle of Prosecco – but accidentally hit a first aider off camera with the flying cork.

Gino’s absence was revealed earlier in the show as the worried presenters made excuses for the Italian chef.

Panning the camera to the empty kitchen counter, Phil said: “We were hoping that Gino would have your Valentines day dinner sorted in 10 minutes, but he’s not coming because he’s a little bit sick.”

Later, Holly listed off the ingredients that they needed for their spaghetti carbonara – but she couldn’t get her words out.

She said: “Olives, green parsley and crap (crab).”

Phil, 56, replied: “I am not putting that in my dish. It might end up being that but I’m not starting with it.”

The pair continued to giggle like school kids and Holly, 38, even chucked spaghetti at the window to see if it stuck – but it slid to the floor.

After seeing the nightmare unfold from his sick bed, a furious Gino called in to the studio and screamed at them over the phone.

Gino raged: “How many times have I told you to stir the pasta? And the garlic and the chilli is burning. Don’t tell me what it is because I can see it.”

Holly protested and shouted: “Can you STOP screaming. You don’t sound nearly sick enough not to be here by the way!”
