Over one million passengers could affected by planned strikes at Heathrow airport this summer, which could potentially “shutdown the airport”.
Unite the Union has announced plans for industrial action across six days at the UK’s busiest airport, following a dispute with airport bosses over pay.
The strikes will take place on: Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July, Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 August, and Friday 23 and Saturday 24 August.
The first two days will hit as schools break up for the summer holidays and could cause travel chaos for those heading off on family holidays.
Last year, on the same weekend, the airport recorded it’s busiest ever day with 261,909 passengers passing through the transport hub on July 29.
