Grand National Festival tips: Aintree 5.15 trends – we help you find the winner of the final race at Aintree on Friday

Key trends:

  • Four-year-olds have a poor record
  • At least one past win is a must
  • Last run 21-75 days ago
  • Look north of 116 in the official ratings
AFP or licensors

FOUR-YEAR-OLDS have a poor record with a 2% strike-rate in the past decade which is bad news for Dewcup, Blackhillsofdakota, Adjourned, Hazm and Book Of Invasions.

Montego Grey and The Cob have yet to win a bumper and are ruled out.

You wouldn’t expect official ratings to come into a bumper but they do in this and Malaystic, Sidi Ismael and Onthefrontfoot are too low to be winning this.

Thebannerkingrebel is coming back from more than a year off which is too long.

Trends tip for the Grade 2 Bumper

MCFABULOUS (Click here to compare the best prices and place your bet)

Running at Cheltenham or Newbury last time has been a plus so Santa Rossa and Ebony Jewel are eliminated.

That leaves us with a battle between McFabulous and Master Debonair. The latter is overlooked because of his 12th in the Champion Bumper last time and that’s too far off the pace to win this.

MCFABULOUS had plenty in hand when winning at Newbury last month and looks to have much more to offer.
