Speaking to new! magazine, Sam said: “It’s obviously really sad.

“I was speaking to him four days before and we were meant to go out for food as I was playing a charity football match in London.

“But we both ended up being busy, so we said we’d do it the week after. And then a few days later the news broke.”

His comments come after Sam said he was lost for words after after a sick troll urged Chloe Ferry to kill herself.

The reality star was left seething after a keyboard warrior suggested that “suicide” was the best option for Chloe.

The troll left a comment under one of Chloe’s selfies – and it didn’t go down too well with Sam.

He wrote: “Literally lost for words again what the f*** is wrong with people!!!! It’s not even hurtful to see it’s just disgusting!”

The troll’s comment comes after a series of reality stars – such as Mike and Sophie Gradon – have taken their own lives.

Love Island star Mike was found hanged following a secret six-month battle with depression.

The Metropolitan Police said they were not treating the 26-year-old man’s death as suspicious after his body was tragically found in a park in Edmonton, North London.

Love Island 2016 star Sophie Gradon tragically passed away at the age of 32 of suspected suicide.

However the probe into her death halted after her parents got shock “new information”.
