HOLIDAYMAKERS travelling through Gatwick airport were left stranded for hours after the baggage system failed.
The fault left passengers waiting for their luggage into the early hours of the morning after the handlers reportedly struggled with demand.
Some travellers in the north and south terminals were said to have been left waiting for four hours.
It is understood the problem began last night and lasted into the early hours.
Some passengers claimed they were left with no water and little information.
This came after thousands of British Airways passengers were left waiting at Heathrow for several hours on Thursday because of a fault in the baggage system.
Sun Online has contacted Gatwick Airport for a comment.
