FLORENTINO PEREZ wants Jose Mourinho back at Real Madrid but is struggling to convince anyone else at the club it is a good idea.
Perez is looking to replace the hapless Santiago Solari after the holders were embarrassingly dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax on Tuesday.
Marca report Solari is expected to be in the hot seat away at struggling Real Valladolid on Sunday which could be his final game in charge.
AS reckon Perez wants Mourinho in place as soon as possible, but no one else at the Bernabeu is on board with the president’s plan.
Mourinho, who has been out of work since his sacking at Manchester United last year is ready to step in at least until the end of the season.
Perez has had enough of Solari and wants an experienced coach to get the squad back on track and finish the disastrous campaign with some pride restored.
