THIS is the first picture of the tragic teenage Brit who died after a go kart accident in Malaysia.

Chloe Brigden, 18, suffered fatal injuries after the car she was in spun off the track and crashed.

Paramedics raced to the scene and she was cut free from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Doctors battled to save her life but they were unable to save her and she died of her injuries.

The tragedy happened at the X Park sports centre in the city of Iskandar Puteri, Johor, in southern Malaysia just days after Chloe had arrived in the country.

Her parents immediately flew out from Britain to be with the student who is from Epsom, Surrey, and her body is expected to be flown back in the next few days.

Chloe’s Facebook page shows her as a student at BEAR university in Vancouver, Canada and she is thought to have been studying engineering.

A spokesman for X Park said: ”We are limited to what we can say because of the investigation into what caused the crash.

“We have been helping Chloe’s parents who are in Malaysia and they are very upset by what happened.

“They said she was a very intelligent girl who had gone to university ahead of her time because she was so clever.”

A local police spokesman said: “We were informed by the staff at the centre that the victim’s machine had skidded and crashed.

“A marshal rushed to the scene and informed her friends to rush her to the hospital.”

Witnesses told local media Chloe appeared to be bleeding heavily as she was taken away in an ambulance following the late night accident.

Last night her grandfather Barrie Brigden said: ”We don’t really want to say anything at the moment.”

The Foreign Office told The Sun: ”We are assisting the family of a British woman following her death in Malaysia.”

It comes just days after the deaths of two Brit teenagers in Bolivia after a car they were in flipped on a salt flat.
