How does Premier League fantasy football work?

Seasoned Dream Teamers will be fairly accustomed with the rules and regulations by now, but if you’re a newcomer listen in.

It’s completely free to enter and will encompass every single fixture played by a Premier League club in the 18/19 season.

Yes, that means the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup all come into play.

What are the Dream Team rules?

Every single season the Premier League gets more intriguing – and playing Dream Team really is the perfect way to enhance your experience of it.

You’ll be assigned a total budget of £50m for each side you pick and you’ll be able pick a maximum of 10 free teams.

The Game Weeks run from Friday to Thursday, effectively meaning the new Game Week starts after the last Europa League games are completed.

Getty Emery and Arsenal will tackle the Europa League this season

You get three transfers a month on the first Friday of every month so using them wisely is essential.

Every player on the game will be assigned a price at the start of the season which will then vary and fluctuate on a weekly basis dependent on their performances.

For example, last season we valued Mo Salah at £4m at the start of the season but the Egyptian King rocketed to over £11m by the end after his stunning goalscoring form.

What new features are there?

Well after the ridiculous popularity of our new 3-4-3 formation on the Dream Team World Cup game, we’ve decided it simply had to make it its Dream Team Season bow.

The traditional 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 line ups will still be there too, but our new kid on the block promotes goals and assists with more players in attacking positions.

Which players should you pick?

With every Premier League player available for selection you’ve got some decisions to make.

Mo Salah broke records left, right and centre last season and finished top of the Dream Team player rankings with a whopping 412 points.

To put that in perspective, only Cristiano Ronaldo has ever broken the 400-point barrier in a single Dream Team season which truly underlines Salah’s individual brilliance in 17/18.

Harry Kane was hot on his heels, whilst the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Roberto Firmino all posting brilliant individual scores.

Who are the best fantasy football bargains out there?

Fantasy football isn’t all about picking the biggest names in the business.

The £50m Dream Team budget means you need to have an eye for a bargain to ensure you can still pick the guaranteed points scorers.

In recent seasons a number of names have emerged from nowhere to play a big part in the Dream Team season.

Here are the top five fantasy football bargains from last season which may help with your selection process in 2018/19.

Who are the most expensive players?

Last season Kane was our most expensive player at £8m, but his Dream Team party was gatecrashed by a certain Egyptian.

Salah has officially joined the Spurs striker at the top of the player prices for the 2018/19 campaign.

They’re closely followed by Man City duo Sergio Aguero and De Bruyne, with a host of players just below them in the £6m category.
