FANS joked Arsenal fed Napoli “dodgy lasagne” as they treated them to a pre-match dinner at Emirates.
Social media users jumped at the chance to remind Tottenham fans of when food poisoning cost them their Champions League spot in 2006.
And some are convinced that Napoli will suffer the same fate ahead of the Europa League quarter-final.
The Italian side posted a photograph of their menu and the dinner table that was waiting for them when they arrived at the Emirates on Wednesday.
It was captioned: “Tonight’s dinner with our friends from @Arsenal! #ForzaNapoliSempre.”
As it was lasagne that caused Tottenham’s food poisoning bug, some fans decided to bombard them with abuse.
One said: “I heard the lasagne is nice lads.”
Alongside a brilliant GIF of the popular pasta dish, another said: “Fancy some lasagne, chaps?”
But as the clubs put their rivalry to one side, some supporters saw this as an opportunity to improve their chances of signing Kalidou Koulibaly.
One Twitter user said: “Now do us a favour and take it easy on us! Why not give us Koulibaly while you’re at it?”

But for Tottenham fans it will evoke memories of an unhappier time.
In May 2006, Spurs only needed to match Arsenal’s result against Wigan to secure the final spot in the competition at the cost of their rivals.
But an undercooked lasagne caused an outbreak of vomiting and nausea in the squad and they lost the match 2-1.
