MANCHESTER UNITED are mourning the loss of former youth coach and Class of 92′ mentor Eric Harrison.
Harrison passed away in his sleep during the night aged 81 after being diagnosed with dementia in 2014.
Former right-back Gary Neville was one of the first to pay and emotional tribute.
He wrote: “We’ve lost our mentor, our coach and the man who made us.
“He taught us how to play, how to never give up, how important it was to win your individual battles and what we needed to do to play for Manchester United Football Club. Eric we owe you everything.”
Harrison spent 27 years working at United and was instrumental in bringing through the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
