EMMERDALE actor Liam Fox’s ex wife Nicole Barbara-Lane put on a brave face after he announced his engagement to Joanna Hudson.
The 48-year-old actor split from the Hollyoaks star in 2015 and proposed to Jo in Paris before sharing his happy news online yesterday.

Liam – who plays Dan Spencer – and Nicole first met in 1997 when they were both trainee teachers at Tameside college in Manchester.
They divorced three years ago after 16 years of marriage and said at the time that they’d always have “love and respect for each other.”
Last night Nicole – who played McQueen family matriarch Myra – attended the press night of Hair the musical in London’s West End with her daughter and showed off her quirky dress sense.
The 48-year-old star wore patterned trousers, silver trainers and sunglasses as pretty offspring posed in ripped jeans, pink and orange Dr. Martens boots and a yellow top.
He’s been dating Jo for a year, though they met at University 25 years ago.
He Liam shared sweet photos of his time in Paris with Jo as she flashed her engagement ring.
“She only went and said yes,” he tweeted, announcing the happy news.
A number of Liam’s Emmerdale colleagues including Sandra Marvin, Gaynor Faye and Jay Kontzle rushed to congratulate the star.
The soap’s official page tweeted: “Congrats! We’re getting our best hat out from the wardrobe.”
Sandra – who plays Jessie Dingle – added: “Omg!! Huge congratulations to you both! Amazing news.”
Jay – who plays Billy Fletcher tweeted: “Congratulations!”
Liam’s character Dan Spencer first arrived on Emmerdale in 2011.

He worked as an actor on Coronation Street, Casualty, and Cold Feet before landing the role in Emmerdale.
When he split from Nicole, the couple said: “It is with much sadness that we confirm the end of our marriage, though our family unit remains strong.
“We will always love and respect each other and are united by our children and family remaining at the centre of our lives.”
