EMMERDALE viewers have been left questioning whether headteacher Jessie Dingle is ever in school – after she skipped lessons to lure Paddy Kirk’s biological father to the village.

Fans of the popular ITV soap have taken to social media to call the educator, played by Sandra Marvin, out for constantly skiving off her school duties.

Jessie’s current storyline sees her and her other half Marlon Dingle attempt to track down local vet Paddy’s, played by Dominic Brunt, biological father with the help of Chas Dingle.

The trio successfully tracked down Bear Wolf, played by Joshua Richards, and convinced him to come to the village on last night’s show.

The meddling pals lured the wrestler to The Woolpack in an attempt to get DNA to prove whether he is Paddy’s dad.

And while the storyline develops, viewers were left unimpressed as Jessie found another excuse to miss lessons at Hatten Academy and now fans have called out soap writers online.

One viewer penned: “Doing my catch up #Emmerdale on @itvhub is Jessie really a school principle??????? Is she ever at work just saying”.

“Day 473827473838 of Jessie taking a day off work because she feels like it,” another wrote. “Cuz you can do that when you’re the head, innit?”

A third: “Thought Jessie had a school to run???”

“Half-term next week jessie will have another week off,” another mused. “Is Jessie a support teacher? She’s never in class!”

A viewer concluded: “How will we spot the difference? She’s never there during term time…”.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
